High & Monumental Flagpoles (30 – 150 m)
Multi-section steel flagpoles for city squares, stadiums, ports and national landmarks. Structural calculation, foundation design, erection planning and site supervision delivered as one package.
Above 30 m a flagpole stops being a product and becomes a structure
A tall flagpole carries its own weight, the flag drag and the gust loading of an exposed site. We design each structure against the actual wind speed, seismic zone and soil capacity of the location, then fabricate the sections, supply the foundation interface and plan the erection sequence.
- Structural design: shaft, flange and anchor calculation issued for consultant or authority review.
- Fabrication: multi-section shaft with machined flanges, full penetration welds and non-destructive testing.
- Foundation interface: anchor bolt assembly, templates and embedded parts coordinated with the civil works.
- Erection: lifting plan, section sequence and site supervision by our engineers where required.
Standard manufacturing range
The ranges below are what we produce as standard. Heights, diameters and wall thicknesses outside them are quoted after engineering review.
| Height | Shaft configuration | Joint | Operation | Scope |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 30 – 45 m | 2 sections | Bolted flange | Electric winch | Design + fabrication |
| 45 – 60 m | 2 – 3 sections | Bolted flange | Electric, dual drive | Design + fabrication + supervision |
| 60 – 90 m | 3 – 4 sections | Machined flange | Electric, redundant drive | Turnkey with erection plan |
| 90 – 150 m | 4+ sections | Machined flange, site weld | Hydraulic / electric | Turnkey, site engineering |
Height alone does not define the structure: the flag area, design wind speed and exposure category drive the shaft diameter and wall thickness. Each tall pole is quoted against a specific site.
What is decided on every order
Wind engineering
Design against ASCE 7-16 or EN 1991-1-4 as required by the project, including gust and flag drag coefficients.
Section design
Shaft sections machined for flange alignment, with internal guide and full penetration circumferential welds.
Foundation
Anchor group and base plate designed for the soil report; templates supplied before concrete is cast.
Logistics
Section lengths and weights planned against the shipping method and the crane capacity available at site.
Typical installations
High-mast poles are almost always public projects with an approval process, so documentation is part of the deliverable.
- City squares and national landmarks
- Stadiums and Olympic venues
- Ports, airports and border facilities
- Memorial parks and ceremonial grounds
- Large multi-pole flag arrays
Frequently asked about high & monumental flagpoles
What is the tallest flagpole you have manufactured?
We have manufactured and delivered flagpoles beyond 100 m for projects in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, and standard production covers up to 150 m as an engineered structure.
Do you provide structural calculations?
Yes. Shaft, flange and anchor calculations are issued for consultant review, stamped by a registered engineer where the destination market requires it.
Can you handle installation?
We supply erection plans and site supervision, and can quote full installation through our partner contractors depending on the country and the lifting equipment available.
How long does a tall flagpole take to produce?
Typically 8 to 16 weeks from approved drawings, depending on height, section count, finish and whether third-party inspection is required.
