Flagpole applications

The same five product families serve very different sites. What changes is the height, the operating system, the finish and how much documentation the project requires.

Where they go

Nine installation types, and what each one usually requires

If your project type is listed here, the specification pattern below is a reliable starting point before we review the drawings.

Selection by site condition

Two site conditions that change the specification

Most specification mistakes come from these two, not from the pole height.

Coastal and high-humidity sites

Grade and fittings decide the service life

Salt spray attacks the fittings first, then the shaft surface. For these sites we specify SS316L or anodized aluminum, stainless fasteners throughout, and a passivated finish.

  • SS316L shaft with 5,000+ hour salt spray finish
  • Stainless pulleys, cleats, snaps and fasteners — no zinc-plated parts
  • Anodized aluminum as a lower-cost alternative for shorter poles
  • Spare rope and touch-up materials supplied with the order
Selection by site condition

High-wind and cyclone regions

Wind load is a site parameter, not a product feature. The same 20 m pole can need a different wall thickness and base plate two streets apart.

  • Design wind speed taken from the local code, not from a default value
  • Shaft and base plate calculation issued for the consultant
  • Anchor group designed against the actual foundation and soil
  • Electric poles specified with automatic wind retraction
